Return to Triple Digits: Higher Temps Expected This Week | News

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – It’s going to be another hot week in St. Louis The hot weather trend returns with temperatures in the triple digits beginning on Tuesday.

Forecasters say the above normal temps will stick around for a few days, but there is a chance for a few isolated showers this week. But it won’t be much rain. The area will remain fairly dry.

• Check on neighbors, young children, those without air conditioning, people with medical conditions and the elderly.

• If you do not have an air conditioner, go to an air conditioned place during the warmest times of the day.

• Drink plenty water. Avoid drinks that contain caffeine.  Avoid alcohol or large amounts of sugar. Never wait until you are thirsty to drink.

• Keep shades, curtains and blinds closed during the day.
